Hot Rod Records T-Shirt

$29.95 - $32.50

In 1951, Hot Rod magazine decided to get into the music business, with a handful of songs about hot cars and street racing. Tom Medley wrote the lyrics, and a jazz band by the name of Joe Darensbourg and his Flat Out Five wrote and performed the music, with legendary jazz singer Scat Man Crothers adding his signature vocals.

The effort was promoted heavily on the pages of Hot Rod magazine, around artwork by Medley. That art and design captures the era perfectly -- which means creating a t-shirt was a natural.

To use TMed's favorite phrase, "it's bitchin'!"

The shirt is available in either Black or White and is printed on high-quality 100 percent cotton fabric. Sizes: S-M-L-XL-2XL-3XL-4XL; price is $29.95 plus shipping.
3XL and 4XLare an additional $2.50.

Show off your love for the sounds of hot rodding with this unique shirt.
